This genuine Grand Banks 42 Classic for sale in Corfu is a quality built timber flybridge motor cruiser. She has the purposeful look and lines of a serious sea boat and the legendary Grand Banks reputation for seaworthiness. She boasts a desirable interior with high quality joinery throughout giving an aire of luxury and has that “little ship” feel. She has twin Cummins diesel engines and is able to cruise in comfort or is a low cost alternative to accommodation ashore. She is very original and could do with some updating of systems etc hence she is sensibly priced to sell “as is”.
This Grand Banks 42 Classic motor yacht is all timber construction. She has a teak and stainless steel bathing platform and a small aft deck which has access to the owner`s cabin. Wide side decks give easy access forward to the foredeck area that houses the powerful as new electric anchor windlass. The teak decks are in good condition. Port side there are steps up to a huge flybridge area where seating allows crew and guests to relax in comfort as well as operate the boat from the outside helm station and all is protected from 2 very large biminis. There is a mast complete with steadying sail and a solid wooden tender is stored on the aft coachroof.
Below decks the main saloon has the internal helm station to starboard with “L” shaped seating aft of this around the saloon table. The spacious galley runs opposite along the saloon to port. The main engines and machinery space are under the saloon floor and have good access for servicing / maintenance etc. Steps at the forward end of the saloon lead down to the forepeak area housing a twin guest cabin with excellent stowage and a good sized heads / shower compartment.
The magnificent owner`s cabin aft is accessed from steps down at rear of the saloon. This has a large double berth to starboard with seating and stowage to port. There is an en-suite heads compartment with a large bath. This is a luxurious cabin that would not be out of place on a much larger and expensive motor yacht.
This Grand Banks 42 Classic flybridge motor cruiser makes a comfortable livaboard with the kudos associated the legendary name and reputation of Grand Banks. She is in need of updating hence the very realistic price for a nicely presented genuine classic.
