This Archambault 40 is a great looking racer / cruiser and boasts a very fast sailing performance that will not disappoint aided by an extremely extensive quality racing sail wardrobe. She is exceptionally well maintained and is presented in great order inside and out. Accommodation below has three double cabins, a galley and one heads compartment plus the saloon. This gives her potential for fast cruising and she is easily handled with a seakindly manner but fast performance sailing is her forté. Viewing highly recommended if you`re in the market for a quality pedigree racer / cruiser!

This Archambault 40 sails every bit as good as she looks and her fast hull shape also results in her being an equally capable offshore passage maker, fast cruiser or round the cans racer. She has an open transom into the roomy cockpit where she has a huge Titanium wheel with well placed heavy duty winches for spinnaker`s, mainsheet traveller and pedestal mounted genoa sheet winches with all being easily accessible to the helmsman. Although a genuine fast cruiser capable of race winning performance the cockpit arrangement makes shorthanded sailing easy also. Forward in the cockpit are seating areas for crew and coachroof mounted winches for halyards and there is a large under floor lazerette that can used for liferaft / dinghy stowage etc.

Descending the companionway steps you enter the light and airy saloon where to port there is a moulded fridge / freezer compartment and aft of this is open access to the port aft double cabin. Moving fwd is a straight settee / berth and the carbon spinnaker pole and pasarrelle are sensibly stowed here. Further forward is the galley area with practical stowage. Opposite is the heads / shower compartment and aft of this is an “L” shaped saloon settee / berth and then aft again is the outboard facing chart table / navigation area. There is open access here to the starboard side aft double cabin. The excellent and well maintained Volvo engine is located under the companionway steps and there is easy access to the centre bilge area and keel bolts. The forepeak area houses a further double cabin.
