Boarding this Bavaria 38 from the sugar-scoop transom with passerelle you enter the spacious cockpit through a removable helm seat / transom gate. The wheel binnacle holds good navigation electronics and lines are led aft for easy short-handed sail control of the in-mast mainsail and furling Genoa. The saildrive leg means vice free easy marina manoeuvring. She is a well equipped cruiser with flexible solar panels that fit on top of the bimini.
Descending the companionway steps you enter the saloon where there is a good sized chart table / navigation area to starboard. Forward of this is ‘U’ shaped seating around the saloon table with an excellent galley and a huge amount of stowage opposite to port. Aft of the galley is the spacious toilet / shower compartment. The overhauled engine is located under the companionway steps and there are 2 good sized double aft cabins with practical stowage. The forepeak area houses a large “owners” double cabin of a size you would expect to find on a much larger yacht, again with excellent stowage.
