This Beneteau Oceanis 281 for sale in Corfu makes a great starter yacht or budget livaboard and benefits from new sails and an upgraded more powerful reconditioned engine. She has surprisingly spacious accommodation and a sprightly performance and viewing is recommended to appreciate fully this lovely little cruiser.
Stepping aboard this Beneteau Oceanis 281 from her sugarscoop bathing platform, you enter a transom gate (with removable infill) into the teak lined cockpit. Tiller steering allows plenty of uncluttered space in the cockpit which is large enough for sleeping outside on hot nights. A conventional mainsail with lazyjacks and the roller furling genoa offer a sporty sailing performance (both sails being as new) and this Beneteau Oceanis 281 is easily operated under both power and sail. The reconditioned engine with extremely low hours run is a bigger more powerful replacement and only fitted in 2023.
Below decks the “L” shaped galley is located to port with a chart table opposite to starboard. There is ‘U’ shaped seating around the saloon table that can also be used as additional sleeping berths. The real wood interior gives a lovely warm ambience to this cosy yacht and there is good locker stowage. A curtain separates the saloon from the double berth in the forepeak area and a heads/shower compartment is accessed aft of the chart table. A double aft cabin is located aft of the galley and is of a size you would only expect to find on a much larger yacht and can be used either “across” or “long ways”.
This Beneteau Oceanis 281 is an ideal budget cruiser offering low running costs with a great combination of roomy accommodation, a lively sailing performance and good build quality inside and out.
