Broker's description:
This Beneteau First 29 is a lovely little yacht combining a fast sailing performance with comfortable accommodation and a real wood interior. She benefits from a solar panel cockpit arch, bowthruster, new tiller pilot etc and is set up for livaboard use or would be equally at home as a budget holiday yacht.
This Benetau First 29 is a strongly constructed yacht and has been regularly upgraded and maintained for livabord / extended holiday use. She is from an era that prioritised quality construction with a sporty and sea-kindly performance and boasts the nice wood interior that you do not see in today’s boats. She is tiller steered which frees up space in the cockpit and gives optimum feel to the helmsman.
Descending the companionway steps a practical galley is located to port with a good sized and extensively equipped chart table and navigation area opposite to starboard. A straight settee is forward of the chart table and opposite across the saloon table there is an ‘L’ shaped settee and both make good sea berths. The forepeak area houses a double cabin with some stowage. The larger double cabin aft to port is accessed behind the galley and has wardrobe and shelf stowage. The reliable Volvo engine is located under the companionway steps and benefits from a comprehensive maintenance program The heads / shower compartment is located to starboard aft of the chart table.
This Beneteau First 29 is well set up and equipped with attention to detail by her experienced owners who have lived aboard her whilst long term cruising in the summer months. She is realistically priced and an excellent entry level yacht suitable for livaboard cruising on a budget or makes an ideal holiday yacht.
