This Gibsea 302 for sale in Corfu is a nice cruiser with a good sailing performance. These are well built boats and have a nice solid wood interior. This example has many recent upgrades and is well proven having sailed around Greece, Italy, Tunisia and Sardinia. She has 2 double cabins and a comfortable saloon and would make a good choice as a holiday yacht or a budget livaboard.
The Gibsea 302 is a solidly built boat from an era when a heavier GRP layup was used than on today`s equivalents. She has an electric anchor winch with a deep locker preventing chain fouling and both sails are furling for easy shorthanded sailing. The tiller gives a responsive feel to the helm and also allows plenty of space in the roomy cockpit. Below decks the quality woodwork and varnish is immediately apparent. The reliable Yanmar engine is under the companionway steps with good all round maintenance access. A clever angular design to the interior maximises space and gives the feeling of a larger boat. A full sized chart table is to starboard which lifts to reveal the fridge under and the galley is opposite to port. The saloon has two straight settees (which double as good sea berths on passage) either side of the solid wood saloon table. The forepeak area houses a double berth cabin with stowage and there is a larger double berth cabin accessed aft of the galley. A good sized heads and shower compartment is accessed aft of the chart table.
This Gibsea 302 is good choice for a ready to go cruiser that`s well equipped and proven. At under 10 meters LOA on-going running costs are kept reasonable and viewing is recommended of this budget livaboard.
