On stepping aboard this Malo 39 you notice the extensive use of quality teak. There is a sugarscoop mounted aluminium passarelle allowing easy boarding when moored stern to. The deep and secure cockpit has powerful electric genoa winches and good instrumentation. The fixed screen with sprayhood, cockpit arch and bimini offer excellent protection from the elements and the cockpit can also be completely enclosed with detachable panels. Lines are led aft which means the boat can be sailed shorthanded from the security of the cockpit. A deep anchor locker ensures anchoring is trouble free and there is a control for the windless at the helm also.
As you descend the companionway steps you immediately notice the extremely high quality joinery and upholstery of the interior that is a trademark of these magnificent yachts. The practical galley is located to port and aft of this is a double cabin with excellent stowage. Opposite the galley to starboard is a good sized chart table and navigation area and aft of this is a heads / shower compartment. The main saloon has ‘U’ shaped seating to port around the beautiful saloon table and two comfortable armchairs opposite to starboard. The owners’ double cabin is forward in the forepeak area and has an en-suite heads / shower plus electric toilet. There is excellent practical stowage throughout as you would expect on a cruiser of this caliber. This yacht has a very special ambience about her that needs a visit onboard to really appreciate fully!
This Malo 39 is a very impressive bluewater cruiser. She is clearly designed for sea and yachts of this build quality are rare to find. If you`re in the market for a serious cruiser that will look after you offshore but exudes comfort as well then this head turning Malo 39 must be a serious contender!
