Broker's description:
This Moody 41 is a centre cockpit design from the board of Bill Dixon and combines a powerful sailing performance with comfortable accommodation making her a practical family yacht or livaboard. She benefits from upgrades including the engine, navigation equipment, quality sails and windvane steering.
This Moody 41 was built by Marine Projects, a yard known for their strong boats and quality construction. The centre cockpit design gives a feeling of security at sea and she is a capable design offshore. The other advantage of the centre cockpit configuration is the amount of interior volume it allows giving a spacious boat below decks.
Descending the companionway steps you enter the saloon where there is a full sized chart table to starboard and a secure “U” shaped galley to port both of which are practical to use at sea being close to the boats centre where movement is less. Large settees comfortably seat the crew around the saloon table and there is huge amount of practical, usable stowage throughout the boat indicating her long distance sailing potential.
From the forward end of the saloon there is a walk-thru to the guest double cabin in the forepeak area. Off the walk-thru to port is a twin bunk cabin and opposite to starboard a heads / shower compartment. A second walk-thru aft of the chart table has a huge amount of stowage options and a lift out panel giving excellent access to the replacement engine. This walk-thru leads to the owner`s cabin aft with an athwartships double berth and an en-suite heads / shower compartment and again good stowage.
The Moody 41 (a forerunner to the Moody 419) offers spacious accommodation in combination with a practical, sea-kindly hull form and examples of these have cruised extensively. This example is ashore in Corfu.
