This UFO27 from the board of legendary designers Holman and Pye is a little gem of a boat and her lovely lines hint at her well known performance and seakeeping ability. A strongly constructed little yacht that benefits from much time and money spent on a full refit in Germany. Viewing highly recommended too appreciate this genuine classic!
On stepping aboard this UFO27 you immediately notice the solid feel and build quality in comparison to lighter built models constructed today. She has a good sailing performance aided by her conventional mainsail and a deep fin lead keel. She has a good sized cockpit and Treadmaster decks make moving about safely at sea a priority.
Below decks a navigation area / switchpanel is to starboard. Aft / below of this a large quarter-berth stretches under the cockpit which is ideal as the skippers sea berth on passage. The ever reliable replacement Yanmar engine is located under the companionway steps. The saloon has a dinette around the table to port that can be converted to a double berth. The galley runs along the starboard side of the saloon. The heads compartment is located across the full width of the boat at the forward end of the saloon with the WC to port and a washbasin / storage to starboard. The forepeak area houses the main double sleeping cabin.
This UFO27 is easy to handle, boasts a great sailing performance and is capable of safe long distance offshore cruising. She`s a nicely presented cruiser of a well proven design and construction. She needs a little work to make her complete but would be ideal for a couple or single hander looking to go serious cruising in safety on a budget!
